Petfinder Redesign

Throughout this process I set research goals to help solves the current problems of the Petfinder site. These goals started with defining Petfinder’s target demographic and then understanding the needs, wants, and must-haves for users when searching for a new pet online. From there I was able to identify pain points users experience when using Petfinder’s current website as well as other animal shelter and pet related websites. These related website helped me understand the commonalities in finding a pet, but also learn more about the industry requirements, standards, and trends. Overall, my main goal was enhancing the digital experience of adopting a pet by highlighting the usful steps already put in place, but also simplifying navigation and ways of doing a task. Making the experience as comfortable and easy for the user will give more pets home and give more people their future best friend.
